Job Title: Clinical Research Fellow in Heart Failure and Type 2 Diabetes
Description: We are pleased to advertise this exciting opportunity for a cardiology trainee to undertake a period of OOPR towards an MD or PhD at the University of Leicester, Department of Cardiovascular Sciences. Supervised by Dr Gaurav Gulsin (NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer) and Prof. Gerry McCann (NIHR Research Professor), this initial two year post (with the chance to extend up to three years) will provide World-leading training in applied cardiac imaging research, with an emphasis on understanding early heart failure in type 2 diabetes. Previous and current fellows in our group have enjoyed tremendous success, including numerous publications, national and international prizes, and a very high rate of completing their doctoral studies with the award of their MD or PhD.
