BJCA Device Implanter and Troubleshooting Course – next session 16th November 2023

The most highly attended BJCA course is back.

The BJCA-Medtronic Device Implanter and Troubleshooting course follows on from your Device Programming Course that took place in February.

The sessions are designed for Cardiology ST4, ST5 and Clinical Fellows who have some experience in Pacemaker/ICD implantation but not routinely as first operator in your training. (See the related CiP and procedural components from the 2022 curriculum below).

This 4-part series will run on Thursday evenings starting from 9th November at 17:30.
Session 2: Thursday 16th November, 17.30 – 19.00
Session 3: Thursday 23rd November, 17.30 – 19.30
Session 4: Thursday 30th November, 17.30 – 19.00

We will have expert faculty commentating step-by-step alongside a PPM and CRT case and sharing their personal tips and tricks.

BCS/BCOS/UCLH Cancer Academy Cardio-Oncology Course – Tuesday 28 November 2023

This joint British Cardiovascular Society, British Cardio-Oncology Society, University College London Hospitals Cancer Academy course on Tuesday 28 November will provide an update in contemporary cardio-oncology practice and cover recent updates in cardio-oncology. A multidisciplinary practical approach to common cardiac issues in oncology/haem-oncology patients will be explored, along with a review of the pivotal role of the cardiac physiologist in cardio-oncology echocardiography services. BCS A Year in Cardiology – Friday 15th December 2023

The culmination to the cardiovascular year will review the biggest and most relevant topics of the past 12 months. Clinical Fellow in ACHD/Paediatric Intervention at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital – Closes 17 November 2023

Come join us in Liverpool.
The successful applicant will work under the supervision of the consultants who perform the different structural Interventions. There will be exposure to all aspects of ACHD/Paediatric structural intervention as well as opportunities to maintain other complimentary skills.
Outpatient work will include a minimum of two weekly ACHD clinics and flexibility across sites The appointee will be responsible for management of ACHD and paediatric patients and for the post-procedure management of structural intervention patients.
The successful candidate will be expected to become competent in ACHD and paediatric procedures by the end of their 12 months and be able to take up a consultant post which includes structural intervention.
