‘Cardiology at its Core’ reference text now published.

‘Cardiology at its Core’ takes a first principles approach in its exploration of areas pertinent to cardiovascular medicine. It is authored by Dr Peysh Patel (consultant cardiologist at QEH) and published by Wiley-Blackwell. It seeks to translate principles into practice by combining the best points of a handbook and textbook. It is an ideal learning resource for those keen to pursue specialty training or who have recently embarked. It is also broadly aligned with European guidelines, providing a contemporary revision aid for those undertaking core specialist exams.

Taking the First Steps in Cardiovascular Research

The BCS is running a one-day course called Taking the First Steps in Cardiovascular Research on Monday 3rd July. The course is at the Macadam building at King’s College, London.

An internationally renowned faculty will take delegates through a step-by-step guide to the process of planning, funding and ultimately completing a cardiovascular research project (+/-higher degree!).

To ensure all delegates get the most out of the day, the afternoon sessions have been split into two workshops streams – one for those who are considering research in the future, and a second for those about to come out of program or who have recently started.  Booking here
