Job Title: Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Devices
Description: Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow in Cardiac Devices at Leeds General Infirmary. This post if for 12 months and will enable the successful applicant to consolidate their cardiology training with a year of specialist training in all aspects of complex devices including extraction in a busy tertiary referral centre.
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is a large acute NHS Trust which is responsible for a comprehensive range of healthcare services to a local population of 3 million patients. Leeds General Infirmary performs in excess of 1000 implantable device procedures per annum. Training opportunities will be tailored to the successful candidate, taking level of experience and training needs into consideration. The successful candidate will receive practical experiential training in basic and complex device procedures, leadless pacing, conduction system pacing, sub-cutaneous ICD implantation and device trouble shooting and follow up. As a high volume regional extraction centre, the successful candidate will also have opportunities to gain experience in the field of trans-venous lead extraction techniques.
In addition to lab experience and training, the successful applicant will be given opportunities to contribute to our existing research program and quality improvement projects.
