Job Title: Clinical Research Fellow in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR)
Description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our research team, working on one of our research themes in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging. As part of a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, physicists and data scientists, you will be involved in research studies that aim to better understand the effects of cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes or chronic inflammatory disease on cardiovascular health, evaluate the impact of coronary artery disease or valvular heart disease, or to study the effects of medical or interventional therapies using advanced CMR methods. You will lead your own studies in one of these areas, including methods development and clinical studies, as well as contributing to the work of the research group as a whole.
The post supports our institute’s internationally-leading research programme in cardiovascular imaging. The post holder will work with advanced MR methods including MR Spectroscopy, Diffusion Tensor Imaging, multi-directional flow and parametric mapping and our clinical trials team.
You will be supported in applying for an externally funded PhD fellowship at the University of Leeds. You will also have the opportunity to undertake clinical training in CMR up to Level 3.
