BCS membership- don’t lose access to your benefits!

The BCS is currently reconciling their membership subscriptions and has identified where direct debits have not been set up, including a number of Associate (BJCA) members. You might not be aware but the direct debit is required to be completed once your membership is approved by the BCS and once you have access to your online account: to check the status of your membership subscription, please log in to the BCS website and select ‘Go to My BCS page‘. If your direct debit is still due to be set up, you should see a link towards the top of this page prompting you to complete the process:

The BCS will be looking to lapse any unpaid memberships shortly, so please act soon to avoid losing access to your membership benefits with the BCS, including free early bird registration for the BCS Annual Conference, Heart Online, the new online Digital Knowledge Hub, trainee-member fee discounts on courses, and many more.

For any questions or issues relating to setting up your direct debit with the BCS, please contact the membership team.

Following on from earlier meetings, we will debate and discuss MDT case study presentations with registrars from primary and secondary care, specifically in the areas of Cardiology, Nephrology, and Diabetes. The format for this meeting will see Senior Consultants presenting cases, pausing throughout to query the Trainees in the audience for their opinion on next steps and treatment direction.  The aim is to create an interactive and engaging session while disseminating the important MDT aspects. Trainees in both primary and secondary care are also encouraged to submit case studies for their own presentation as an opportunity to further initiate relevant discussions amongst colleagues.
